BLOND:ISH is the artist name of Vivie‑Ann Bakos (born 1981, Stoney Creek, Ontario, Canada). She began her career in 2007 during the Winter Music Conference in Montreal and rose to prominence in 2008 with a residency at Cherry Nightclub. In 2010, she moved to London to focus on music production, releasing on prominent labels like Kompakt, Get Physical Music, and Insomniac Records. After her duo split in 2019, Vivie‑Ann continued solo under BLOND:ISH. Her debut album, Welcome to the Present (2015, Kompakt), and singles like “Waves” and “Call My Name” earned Juno Award nominations (2022–2024) .
